1. What’s the moratorium period?

Course duration + 6-12 months grace — no EMI during studies. Interest may accrue (simple) — pay partially to reduce burden.

2. Abroad vs India: Rate & Loan Differences?

India: 8.5-11%, up to ₹50L | Abroad: 10-14%, up to ₹1.5Cr. Higher collateral needed for overseas; processing 1-2%.

3. Who is co-borrower & why?

Parent/guardian as co-applicant shares liability. Banks require for students <25; improves approval odds.

4. Tax deduction on education loans?

Unlimited interest under Section 80E (8 years max). No principal benefit. ₹10L loan @12%: ₹50k+ yearly deduction.
